Ami Dress Up Dolls: Medieval Heroine
You will need:
~ An Ami Dress Up Doll
~ DK yarn in up to four colours: Bodice Colour (white), Skirt Colour (green), sleeve colour (green) and shoe colour (green)
~ 3.5mm crochet hook
~ yarn needle
sc – single crochet
mr – magic ring
sc2tog – decrease
slst – slip stitch
sk – skip
ch – chain
F/O – finish off
rep. – repeat
Rnd – round
using bodice colour, ch 16, slst in first ch, being careful not to twist the chain.
Rnd 1: 1sc in each ch. (16)
Rnds 2 – 10: 1sc in each st around. (16)
Rnd 11: 1sc in next st, ch 4, sk 3sts, 1sc in 4th st and next 5 sts, ch 4, sk 3 sts, 1sc in 4th st and last 2sts (9sc, 8ch)
using sleeve colour, join yarn in one of the stitches skipped in Rnd 11 of bodice.
Rnd 1: sc 8 in the skipped stitches and the undersides of the chains. (8)
Rnds 2 – 4: 1sc in each st around (8)
Rnd 5: 2sc in next st, 1sc in last 7 sts (9)
Rnd 6: 1sc in each st till you reach the ‘front’ of the sleeve, then do the following, one stitch per stitch. 1Hdc, 1dc, 1hdc, 1sc
F/O. Repeat for the other sleeve.
using skirt colour, join yarn in the underside of the starting ch from the bodice.
Rnd 1: [1sc in next 7sts, 2sc in next st] rep. (18)
Rnd 2: [1sc in next 2 sts, 2sc in next st] around (24)
Rnd 3: [1sc in next 3sts, 2sc in next st] around (30)
Rnd 4: [1sc in next 4 sts, 2sc in next st] around (36)
Rnds 5 – 17: 1sc in each st around (36)
F/O weave in all ends.
Shoes (make 2)
Rnd 1: using shoe colour, 6sc in mr (6)
Rnd 2: 2sc in each st (12)
Rnd 3: 1sc in next 4sts, 2sc in next 4 sts, 1sc in last 4 sts (16)
Rnd 4: BLO for this round, 1sc in each st around (16)
Rnd 5: Both loops from now on, 1sc in each st (16)
Rnd 6: 1sc in next 4sts, sc2tog 4 times, 1sc in last 4 sts (12)
F/O, weave in ends
Embroider features and attach hair according to taste (if you have not already done this), and put dress on your Ami Dress Up Doll, then you have your very own Medieval Heroine, ready to go questing!
